Speaker Bio

Ken Foster is an author, marketer, entrepreneur and youth sports executive whose career has been built around one recurring question: why do some organizations create extraordinary loyalty while others simply exist?

Today, as Director of Marketing for Kingston United Soccer Club, Ken applies more than three decades of experience in marketing, communications, strategic planning, business development and organizational leadership to the rapidly changing world of youth sport.

His career has extended well beyond soccer. Ken has worked across private enterprise, media and international projects, including serving as Director of Special Projects and Operations at Fortis Media and working on initiatives involving governments in Europe and Africa. He has also built and developed businesses, brands and creative ventures of his own.

That outside perspective profoundly shaped the way he saw youth sports organizations.

Ken came to believe that while clubs devote enormous energy to what happens on the field, many of their greatest challenges: trust, communication, identity, culture, leadership, revenue and the parent experience,  happen everywhere else.

That thinking became The Youth Sports Club Playbook: How to Build a Modern, High-Performing Club That Parents Trust, Coaches Love, and Players Thrive In, his practical guide to building stronger, more sustainable youth sports organizations.

His work challenges clubs to think beyond registration numbers, schedules and results and instead ask a larger question:

What does it take to build a club people genuinely want to belong to?
