Gianni Cimini is the Head Coach of Toronto FC II, the MLS NEXT Pro reserve squad for Toronto FC. A cornerstone of the TFC organization since 2012, Gianni spent a decade commanding various TFC Academy tiers—including serving as Academy Technical Manager—before being appointed to lead the professional reserve team in March 2022. During his inaugural MLS NEXT Pro season, he steered the team to a Northeast Division Title and an Eastern Conference Final appearance. He also began his journey in Ontario with clubs such as Woodbridge SC and Aurora Youth SC as well as having been a provincial player for Ontario. Now, Gianni is highly recognized across North American soccer for his elite focus on player development, successfully bridging the gap between academy prospects and first-team MLS contracts.
