Bruno Travassos is National Futsal Coordinator at the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF). He was previously Associate Professor with Habilitation at the University of Beira Interior (UBI) and a researcher at CIDESD. His work has gained international recognition, particularly for its focus on knowledge transfer—transforming scientific evidence and research into practical tools, improved training processes, informed decision-making and coach development, strengthening the connection between what we know, how we train and how we perform.

He is a UEFA A Licensed Futsal Coach and over the past six years, he has been part of the technical staff of the Portuguese National Futsal Teams, contributing to the 2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup, UEFA Futsal EURO 2022 and Finalissima 2022 titles, as well as Portugal’s UEFA Futsal EURO 2026 runners-up finish.

He is a member of the UEFA Futsal Committee, and a member of UEFA’s Fitness for Football Advisory Group, with responsibility for futsal.
